Your legal team is being held hostage by the old way of serving clients.
You bought the legal tech. You finally picked an AI subscription to bolt on top. Your team still works like none of it exists.Months later the tools and licenses sit half-used. When a case heats up, nobody reaches for any of them. Yet the attorneys and paralegals are still working the same way late into the night. Why? Because nobody taught the firm how to actually run and trust what you bought.Legal Team IQ (LTIQ) provides your legal team with an exit — not from the firm, but from the old way of doing things. I work alongside your team to build AI into your existing PI workflows so your team realizes they can do their best work — without being held hostage by tradition, billing math, or vendor demos that don't survive a real case. The practice grows because of it. Not the other way around.
WHY LEGAL TEAM IQ EXISTSI'm Zaldy Hidalgo. Over 21 years inside personal injury litigation as a paralegal. I've drafted the demand at 11 PM, chased the records, negotiated with the liens, and watched smart people get worn down by inefficiency the firm was paying them to tolerate.Every PI firm I've ever worked at had the same dysfunction: smart people doing the wrong work because the system rewarded looking busy instead of solving the case as efficiently as possible.Generic AI consultants don't fix that. They sell six-figure pilots that bypass the people who do the work.Legal tech vendors don't fix it either. They sell tools that don't fit how the case actually moves — from intake to records to demand to settlement. And the paralegals — the people who would actually use this stuff — are usually the last in the room when the firm makes the buying decision.LTIQ exists to flip that. I work inside your existing workflows, with your existing team, and I leave behind a firm that knows how to run its own AI. You own the IP. Your paralegals own the wins. Your partners own the growth. That's the trade.
THE ENGAGEMENT
One engagement. Built only for mid-size personal injury firms in Washington and California.
PI WORKFLOW ACTIVATION - $15,000* (10 weeks)In 10 weeks, your case team builds 4 core PI workflows on AI alongside a 20-year PI paralegal — then operates them without one. Most PI firms I've seen are paying $500–$2,000/month for software nobody opens, while staff quietly paste client PHI into ChatGPT just to keep up. That's 6 weeks building together, then 4 weeks working towards operating on their own.The Structure:
Weeks 1–6: Build phase. I work with your paralegals, case managers, and intake team to design and build the core 4 workflows on top of how your firm actually runs cases (Intake/Sign-Up, Medical Records and Chronologies, Case Management and Client Communication, and Demand Generation). Every workflow gets prompt-tested against your real files, not a sandbox demo. Add-on workflows available.
Weeks 5–7: Coached operation. Your team starts running the workflows on live cases. We meet twice weekly for live sessions where the team works the cases in front of me and I correct in real time.
Weeks 8–9: Observed operation. Your team runs the workflows on their own. I observe and debug only what they bring to me, then document edge cases into the workflow library.
Week 10: Autonomy Test:
By the end of week 10, your case team must pass the below 3 tests on each of the 4 workflows. The tests aren't theoretical — they're observed and documented.:
1. Run it cold. The team processes a defined minimum case volume through each workflow with zero LTIQ involvement, hitting the quality and turnaround benchmarks we set by week 6.
2. Fix it when it breaks. At least 1 edge case or AI failure shows up during the cold-run period — and the team troubleshoots and resolves it without LTIQ guidance.
3. Teach it. A team member who wasn't in the build sessions can be brought up to speed on the workflow by the team itself. Also included:
• PI-native prompt & workflow library — 20+ tested prompts your firm owns
• Hands-on training and adoption sprint — live sessions plus recorded modules your future hires can use
• Bar-compliant AI use policy + staff ethics briefing - WA/CA bar guidanceThe Activation Guarantee:
If your case team can't pass the Week 10 Autonomy Test on all 4 workflows, I keep working at no additional cost for up to 12 weeks. If autonomy still hasn't been reached by week 22, we conduct a joint diagnostic review to identify the structural blocker, the engagement closes, and any continued work transitions to a paid retainer.Firms continuing past week 10 typically transition to a tiered retainer (starting at $2,500/month), evaluated and adjusted month-to-month based on whether you're maintaining the 4 workflows, expanding to net-new ones, or both. That's a week 10 conversation — not a separate decision you need to make now.*First 5 launch engagements only at $15,000. Standard pricing $30,000 after.
Why PI Firms Choose
Legal Team IQ
Practitioner, Not Vendor
Over 21 years inside PI litigation. I've drafted the demand, chased the records, fought the liens, prepped the file for mediation. I know what working knowledge actually lives in your paralegals' heads — and how AI should be designed around it, not around how a software demo says the work moves.Ethics-First, Bar-Compliant by Design
WA and CA bar opinions cited by name. ABA Formal Op. 512 (July 2024) baked into your usage policy. HIPAA-aware. Your attorneys can stand behind it. Your malpractice carrier can sleep at night.Built for PI, Not Generic Law Firm Operations
The core workflows attack the bottlenecks PI firms actually have: intake throughput, records-to-demand throughput, demand turnaround, case-prep capacity. The vocabulary is yours. The metrics are yours. You Own the IP
When the engagement ends, the prompts, workflows, SOPs, and documented playbooks live in your firm — not in a vendor portal, not behind a subscription wall.
READY TO GET STARTED?Book a free 30-min Strategy Call. It’s 30 minutes, no pitch — you’ll leave knowing exactly where AI fits in your firm’s workflow, whether or not we work together. Here’s what I’ll ask: where your team is losing the most time, what they’d do with that time back to better serve your clients, and whether the 10-week PI Workflow Activation is the right fit for your firm.
You walk away with the activation gap named clearly — and if it’s a fit, the next step is the engagement itself: $15,000 for the first 5 launch firms, then $30,000.If I'm not the right fit, you keep the conversation and walk. The old way will be exactly where you left it.
